Senior RV’ing

Senior RV’ing – Frank Poland: Lyrics & Music – Just sharing our view of the RV world that my wife Janie and I are blessed in which to participate. Blessed beyond what we deserve!

.
     SENIOR RV’ing
.
So, here’s to us seniors wild at heart,
In our rolling home, we play our part.
With each travel mile, we paint our view,
A canvas of life, a scenery, always new.
.
In this life on wheels, with love as the fuel,
We break the mold, we bend the rules.
Every sunset draws us closer still,
Our dreams we reach, travelling anytime at will.
.
With silver hair and seasoned eyes,
We chase the sun, where freedom lies.
Each campground is a cherished find,
A place to relax, leaving worries behind.
.
Campsites are a refuge, a canvas of peace,
From lovely coves to pretty valleys not least.
To inspire the spirit, to comfort the soul,
New friends we’ll meet, make us feel whole.
.
For every mile brings both laughter and pain,
But together we weather the sunshine and rain.
In our RV home, with memories to share,
We savor the moment, life’s precious to care.
.
Every campground a new venture, each one a surprise,
In the embrace of the trip, under vast, open skies.
While the birds join the concert, a melody sweet,
The world in its splendor, always a magical treat.
.
Grocery items packed and snacks in their place,
Ice Maker with ice, our thirst we’ll embrace.
The pillows are fluffed, the blankets on bed,
Every inch of our home-on-wheels, with supplies fed.
.
The wheels on the RV, they hum with delight,
As we hitch up adventures, ready for our flight.
With GPS on dash, and sky painted blue,
We set forth together, just us two, the only crew.
.
At last, we arrived, where the shade trees do sway,
Our campsite awaits, for 3 nights and 4 days.
Carefully, we back in, a skillful ballet,
Arranging things brought, putting cares away.
.
Tables are set under canopies wide,
L E D lights hung, with chairs at our side.
Campfire aglow, with stories we share,
Hamburgers cooking, relaxation in the air.
.
Morning brings coffee, both steaming and warm,
The sun breaks the horizon, the calm with no storm.
We sit at our table, watching the world come alive,
In the morning’s glow, we feel so revived.
.
With daily walks beneath the towering shade trees,
And family chats in the pleasant breeze.
We cherish each moment, one by one,
Grateful for the privilege, enjoying the fun.
.
Each journey a chapter, each stop a new page,
In the book of our lives, enjoying our age.
With wisdom embossed in the lines on our face,
Trips filled with joy and love, an exciting pace.
.
(Now gittin ready to leave)
.
We break down the site with tender care,
With memories packed, a trip laid bare.
The awning folds like a closing book,
While watching skillfully every crease took.
.
With the RV hitched, our hearts are tight
With one last look at our wonderful site.
For every trip, a memory we sew,
We drive away, with our fifth-wheel in tow.
.
As we pull out, with a hopeful glance back,
To the campground behind, memories we stack.
With each mile, we cherish the journey we took,
In our fifth-wheel RV, life’s precious story book.
.
For life is wonderful, as we continually roam,
In the heart of the wild, we enjoy our RV home.
So excited and blessed, for the freedom we feel,
Just senior RVing, with our fifth-wheel.
