“If My People” – Frank Poland: Lyrics & Music – Based on Biblical teachings, having observed the position, character, status and condition of America, I felt compelled to assemble my thoughts in the following form of lyrical prose.

IF MY PEOPLE

The scriptural pattern keeps repeating
The Old Testament clearly reads
God restores not nations that are doing right
But nations that are broken without a guiding light
Defeated means the enemy has won and done
Broken means God’s work has just begun.

The Book Of Judges shows the way
A nation falls, eventually turning to pray
God sends a savior to restore
Then comfort comes, in future they ignore
The ‘Judges Cycle’ occurs once more.

Look at the news across America today
With division, war and economic decay
The situation looks sad and so severe
Yet in the heart of believers, we hold no fear.
.
The church pews half empty collecting dust
While prayer movements on campuses are a must
The youth are asking questions that are deep
We’re making promises that we do not keep.
.
This is what broken America looks like now
Before the healing, we must declare and avow
As America is tested three ways now
When things get hard will you bow.
.
First test is FAITH, will yours in God hold true
Or will you panic like the faithless do.
.
The second test is UNITY we project
Love for family, the children we must protect
On shared national values we must stand
We must do right, sea to sea across the land.
.
The third test is PATIENCE sincerely meant
It comes not with economy, media or events
It come with you, daily, in your home
Reading, Studying, Praying all alone
Restoration’s not on our declared date
But only when God says the time is great.

Second Chronicles 7:14 states it plain
If my people who bear my name
Will humble pray and seek my face
And turn from wrong with urgent grace
Then I will hear and heal their land
This is the promise to America
Direct from God’s Master Plan!
